Abstracts

Instructions for Abstracts

  • Abstracts must be submitted through the registration system.
  • Abstracts must include: Title (300 characters), Authors (300 characters), Affiliations (600 characters) (indicating the presenting author) and Main text (2000 characters)
  • Abstracts should not include neither references nor figures.
  • During abstract submission/registration, the presenting author must specify whether the abstract should be considered for Oral Presentation Session.
  • This year, there will be no topic-specific sessions. Abstracts will be located by the organizers in one of the three sessions and notify to the presenting author in advance.
  • All the abstracts selected for Poster format will present the work both in traditional poster format as well as Poster Flash Talks.

POSTERS SESSIONS

  • If your abstract has not been selected for Oral Presentation, your abstract will be displayed in Poster format.
  • Each poster must be in portrait format and not bigger than A0 (84,1 cm width x 118.9 cm height)
  • Posters must be done in English language.
  • The posters will be mounted on boards and Velcro adhesive will be provided on-site.
  • Your panel number will be announced by the organization during registration
  • Posters will be displayed during the whole congress in the Social Room of the CNIO.
  • Poster presenters must be nearby their posters during the poster sessions (coffee-breaks)

POSTER FLASH TALKS

  • If your abstract has not been selected for Oral Presentation, your will also have to present your Poster in a «Flash Talk» format.
  • Poster Flash Talks are meant to be very short (1 minute and 1 slide) presentation of posters. The author should focus only on the main aim of the research and only mention the key findings. The purpose of the Flash Talk is to stimulate the audience to view the poster and to discuss the research with the author in the exhibition area, where the poster is displayed for the full conference.
  • Two Poster Flash Talks Sessions are scheduled for Monday afternoon. You will be notified by the organizers in which session you have to present.
  • PowerPoint files (alternatively pdf) must be provided to the session organizers at least one hour before the time of your presentation.
  • Presenting PC will use Microsoft Office Powerpoint 2016 version
  • Format 4:3
  • Slides and presentations will be given in English language.

ORAL PRESENTATIONS

  • If you have been selected for an Oral Presentation, your session will be notified by the chairs in advance time.
  • All talks will have 12 minutes for presentation plus 3 minutes questions.
  • PowerPoint files (alternatively pdf) must be provided to the session organizers at least one hour before the time of your presentation.
  • Presenting PC will use Microsoft Office Powerpoint 2016 version.
  • Format 4:3.
  • Slides and presentations will be given in English language.
